I can't believe it's been a year already since I was on Semester at Sea. I want to go back through all my blog posts and relive the memories. Unfortunately, this semester is crazy and I've taken on more responsibility than I should have. I won't be able to write any blogs for a while yet, but one of these days I will. I miss it.

- I can't wait for August 29th, 2008. That is the day I will set sail on the voyage of a lifetime. I will leave all that I know behind and set off on a journey into the unknown, travelling the four corners of the earth in 100 days and meeting people who I will never forget. I will see things I never knew existed, I will interact with people who don't speak my language by means of smiles and hand gestures, I will become angry with Americas over-indulged culture, but I will remember where I came from, who I am, and that I love my country and my people. I will laugh at the good times we have in each country, cry when I see children starving and living in poverty, and think long and hard about what I really want out of my life and what I am meant to do while I'm alive. I will come back a changed person and I won't be able to explain the effect that Semester at Sea has had on me.

Yes it has been a year but that is ok....you have changed in more ways than one, some from this trip, some from simply growing up.
This trip has no expiration date - you can go back and reread anytime you want to - it will always be here.
Concentrate on the now, which is your last year of school. Study hard, be a good friend to your classmate, remember who you are and where you wish to go.

Yeah. One of my good friends back in college did this. He traveled to and visited so many different places and totally loved it.
I too love travel and meeting new people.
